Isometric Exercises - Bodybuilding Secrets of the Old Time strongmen

Before Charles Atlas - also known as Angelo Siciliano - has been promoting his practice through the famous name ... Dynamic tension, there were plenty of old, which were used strongman weight (isotonic) and isometric exercises.

One such person was Alexander Zass - better known as - "The Amazing Samson."

(Zass, born in Poland but lived most of his life in Russia and later as a circus performer living in Britain after 1924.)

It is important to noteZass was about Alexander, as he developed his belief in the use of isometric exercise. Or, as he to him, "Maximum Voltage." He believed that this training protocol was used more than any other of the normal training program by the strong man of his time and that includes weights in the development of physical strength

He understood that isometric exercises designed not only muscle but also strengthens the tendons and ligaments that are critical to the development ofStrength.

The amazing Samson, who also made the account such as "The Living World Strongest Man" with the words: "I will first develop the underlying connective tissue, rather than citing the superficial muscles" (Taken from his instructions - Samson systems and methods )

He further stated: "I always wanted to develop tendon strength ... without tendons, one has no control over the muscles and the body ... the development of the tendons have the power to my secret. Musclealone will not hold wild horses - but do and tendons! "

Alexander Zass continue his education in states that bodybuilder type muscles just an illusion, if it was for strength. Although he was not discouraged students from developing countries muscular size - he has to practice the use of the muscles one at a time to teach - then grouping the muscles together span and how many of them as possible - all at once.

With the use of isometric exercises, heoutlined 3 different methods - and they are as follows:

Freestyle

In freestyle you're using machinery, or appliances, you're just doing freehand isometrics. You are usually only with your own body.

Wall Exercises

In this method, you will be with a wall, or even a tree to resist, rather than their own body weight or body surface area.

Isometric exercise device

This is the ideal or best way to perform isometric exercises. TheDisadvantages of both the freestyle and wall exercises is that there is no effective way to measure your strength gains.

And how do you know you are with 100% or even 70% of the power in this sport? That's where an isometric exercise device, such as the Bully Xtreme or Tensolator comes into play.

This type of contraction, bodybuilding equipment, you can not just measure your strength gains, but in general you will be more diversity in the type and quantity of the isometricExercises you can perform.

The biggest attraction of isometrics is that with very little effort and not a whole lot of time you can get a full body workout - at home - in your office - or anywhere!
