The Month of Capricorn - 2009 - 2010

The Zodiac Month Ahead: Perseverance

What we can all expect from the forecast of our planetary skies.

Capricorn's earthen energy expresses itself with direction upon the Zodiac Wheel. As our Sun begins to rise again after the Solstice, we are now initiated into winter. Karmic Saturn watches over Capricorn, urging time spent in the month ahead learning from experience, acquiring patience, being responsible, and getting to work! You won't find any other sign is more attuned to ambition and a sense of duty wherever they go- as the steadfast Goat innately knows how to consciously aim for integrity while adhering to a strong sense of reverence to their agendas.

Mercury enters its' 4th Retrograde Period of 2009 upon 26 December, concluding in the New Year on the 15 January. This passage will request the collective to redefine optimism, flexibility, and diplomacy. While retracing his steps this time in Capricorn, this is the piece of your Zodiac Pie where The Messenger will deliver his typical tricks. Be sure to all of those Mercury REtrograde do's and don'ts.

We bring a close to 2009 not only under a Mars and Mercury REtrograde, but a Full Moon AND Lunar Eclipse as well. Whatever you may have planned- be prepared for the possibility of delays and changes. As the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse occur at 10 degrees Cancer, we are wise to watch heightened sensitivities, moodiness, and strong feelings. Whichever house 10 degrees Cancer falls in your natal birth chart is where release desires to occur and keeping an active instinct alive is favored. Certainly we couldn't ask for a better alignment to make those New Years resolutions under.

Saturn Retrogrades in Libra on 13 Jan for its' Winter nap until the Spring on 30 May. Our Fatherly planet will reenter Virgo upon 07 April until 21 July. As Saturn continues to add his reshaping to the economic state, while in the Virgo he will take one last audit within the banking world. Take note of the 04 degrees Libra to 27 degrees Virgo piece of your Zodiac Pie to see where discrimination and objectivity need a revisit in the months ahead.

There is good news for all Pisces and natal Jupiter in Pisces natives. Our planet of optimism and expansion enters the vast ocean of The Fishes upon 17 January. Look to the Pisces ruled house in your natal birth chart to see where you can expect good fortune to find you in 2010. Collectively, Jupiter ensures while in Pisces that public welfare and healing will find enthusiastic outlets if charitable and sympathetic intentions are utilized. Let's see how the beginnings -that while Jupiter in Aquarius for the past year have brought forth- will ultimately unfold for humanity in the continuing healthcare debate.

As perseverance is asked of us all, may you find integrity being the guiding light behind all of your achievements.

Jupiter's Movement Through Pisces

Jupiter is the planet of good luck.  It represents our hopes for the future, and our desire for expansion.

Its influence is collective as well as personal.  It describes the general buzz amongst groups of people, and by and large the stronger its position, the happier everyone is.

Jupiter is a slow-moving planet, that takes just under twelve years to go round the Sun. This means that it stays in a sign, on average, for about twelve months.

Towards the end of January Jupiter changed signs, from Aquarius to Pisces.

Overall this was good news, because Jupiter has rulership over Pisces, and is therefore very strong in this sign.
We'll become more optimistic about the future, and many of us will have a powerful vision about what might be possible, both spiritually and materially.

I suspect that we'll start feeling the real power of Jupiter's sign-change after the New Moon on February 14. This New Moon, by the way, marks the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Tiger.

Jupiter will remain in Pisces until June 6, after which it moves into Aries.  It will return to Pisces in September.
Over the next few months, and particularly after February 14, it'll be easier to get things done, and I'm confident that there'll be real evidence that the global economy is recovering.

However I believe that it's a calm before the storm.  As I keep reminding my readers, in 2010 and 2011 Jupiter and Saturn are making a stressful, 180-degree aspect.  Historically this aspect has an association with economic decline, as well as political turmoil.

It's therefore important to make the most of Jupiter's movement through Pisces, by harnessing the feel-good (or feel-better) factor.

We can perhaps persuade people to have faith in us. Because faith leads to security, and if we've got security we've got every chance of surviving the next few years.

Caricature Entertainment - A Surefire Way to Liven Up Your Wedding Celebration

Caricature entertainment will make your wedding celebration stand out and be remembered.

If you have never seen caricatures drawn at an event, you will be amazed when you see how popular they are with guests. Not only do they have a great time, they leave with a memento to cherish.

This article will discuss why it is a great idea to include caricature entertainment at your wedding reception. Then it will furnish tips on finding and booking the perfect artist for your event.

People love to watch an artist draw. The transformation of blank paper into a drawing that captures a guest's personality and character is nothing short of magical. A competent caricature artist performs this seemingly effortless feat in just a few short minutes.

And, so, an audience will quickly form to watch the magic (and have some good natured fun with the 'victim in the hot seat.')

In fact, the better your guests know each other the more likely there will be some ribbing. But that is part of the fun. Especially if you have a family of practical jokers like mine.

Many people think of party caricature as children's entertainment. It is. The 40, 50, and 60 year-old 'kids' have as much - or more - fun as well as the little ones.

Which makes it perfect for wedding receptions where there are few if any chronological children present.

But what makes caricature entertainment really special is that your guests receive a keepsake to take home. Their drawing is a one-of-a-kind memento they will cherish.

Many guests still have caricature drawings from events they attended ten, even twenty years ago. Some frame them and hang them on a wall.

For an added touch, ask the artist to print an inscription such as "Jenny and Joe's Wedding, March 6, 2010" onto the drawing stock ahead of time.

2010 - Is it Time For a Projector and Home Cinema?

There is no better time than the present! Getting a projector and having your own home cinema, will transform your entertainment in 2010! Let us get maximum entertainment!

There are so many different kinds of ways to get entertained. For many people this process begins with a television. However, televisions are a little old now, and also a little small.

Yes, there is high definition, and LCD. However, they don't meet the needs that a home cinema can do.

To get cinema in the home, the biggest component you will need, is the projector. The projector is the essential aspect that allows you to have home cinema.

The next thing you will need, is a projector screen. This will allow you to get the maximum out of your projection technology.

The next aspect to remember is to make sure that the inputs and outputs work with your equipment. The good news is that the projection technology of today, is much cheaper than existing versions.

This results in big savings. Today's versions are actually similar prices to high definition television sets, so this makes sense to actually look into.

There are some other things to consider. You will want to make sure that the room you select is dark. This is essential, and works same as how a cinema needs to be in the dark, so the projection can be seen.

Thick curtains can be of great help with this. And when you have home cinema, you will always return to it, time and time again!

Global WarNing

Are you sick of hearing about the environment? Do you roll your eyes every time someone declares that we humans are fouling the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat? Do you rate Al Gore's documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth" an alarmist film to appease the greenies and scare the rest of us? If you answered yes to any of the above you are neither a narrow-minded conservative nor a boring hackneyed liberal. You belong to the party of the powerless, living in denial because you simply don't know whether to move right, left, forward or stay the course.

Despite dire reports from our intrepid astronauts, who see clearly what we cannot, most of us remain in a state of suspended paralysis. We think because we are watching on television the glaziers melt, the polar bears starve, the seas rise and the planet convulse in one cataclysm after another, that none of it is real, none of it impacts us directly. It's entertainment news! Never mind the staggering number of fires, floods, twisters and storms at home and abroad. The Weather Channel presents these man-versus-nature disasters as exciting programming you won't want to miss. It's all entertainment news!

So let's continue the entertainment fantasy. What if a wacko like me told you that a violent hurricane is the virtual purging by mother earth of the insulting impurities of chemicals, pesticides and toxic waste that are poisoning her seas and killing her pet fishes? What if I said that in virtual reality, an earthquake is the planet groaning under the impossible weight of the concrete and steel that's replacing the plants that provide us with (gasp) OXYGEN?

Have you boated down the Amazon lately? What? Where is it? Have you ski-boarded in the Sahara where every sand storm in the encroaching desert is carried by wind currents across the planet to North America? Jeez, plant a tree why don't they? What if an alarmist like me told you that every volcanic eruption is the sound and fury of earth vomiting the carbon monoxide we force down her gut because gluttonous industrialists insist on burning finite fossil fuels like coal and oil, which are NOT RENEWABLE?

What can we do to change these dynamics? Not in a decade. Now! We can pay attention, be conscious. I've nothing against industrialists, just their short-sightedness. I'm neither an environmentalist nor a scientist. Like everyone else, I'm someone trying to breathe and eat clean stuff so I won't have so many allergies so I don't have to purchase medication I can't afford, medication that is packaged in plastic that is NOT BIO-DEGRADABLE!

When I was on Mount Kilimanjaro in the late 1970s, it was covered with snow. Today there is none, even on the summit at 19,335 feet! In 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepalese Sherpa guide Tenzing Norgay were the first men to reach the 29,035-foot peak of Mount Everest. Every inch of the highest mountain in the world was sacred and pristine. Today it is littered with the 200 frozen bodies of those who paid over $65,000 each for the privilege. They and other climbers have left a trail of filth, frozen excrement and toilet paper (locally called the white man's prayer flags). A clean-up crew recently brought down over two and a half tons of that garbage.

In the musical, "The Lion King," the following dialogue between King Mufasa and his son, Simba says it all with great simplicity:

King Mufasa: "Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope."

Young Simba: "But dad, don't we eat the antelope?"

King Mufasa: "Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life."

It's just that we don't bother to listen to them.
