The Music Children help?

Why music is important for children?

This question has been debated for as long as time exists. Even the great Greek and Roman philosophers approached the question: is music something that should be taught and helps the development of children? Plato said: "I would teach children music, physics and philosophy, but also music, models of music and the arts are the keys to learning." And again: "And then perhaps we should be training?there could be no better than the experience of the past has already discovered that, I believe, in gymnastic, for the body and music for the mind. "

In all cultures of the world, music plays an important role. While these roles may change depending on the culture, it is impossible to separate the music from the life of an individual. While some of the role of music in our lives, arguing that it is impossible to escape. Even in popular culture in Australiait is impossible to go shopping without hearing the music. Music provides a means of communication and expression of cultural and individual.

Children are immersed in music since birth and will be for life. If this is the case, why teach? It is the constant immersion in the music enough? To this I say, is the fact that we are witnessing the results of the scientific principles on a daily basis results in the scientific understanding of these bases? No,and also the music is not. The meetings each day we go with the music, but we can understand this music can help us grow as individuals.

In many cultures the family plays a major role in music education. Families are more often those who teach children, the music of their culture. As children, we often sang nursery rhymes. They provide entertainment for the child and the information repeated often so small. Children learnthrough repetition and structure, that the information was delivered in many nursery rhymes to teach basic lessons for life, setting music as a means of education. Children learn music from a young age and continues for the rest of their lives. In a world of globalization and consumerism, dominant cultural identities are pushed into the background and children are often sang pop songs as a lullaby nursery are rhymes. The advantage of the cribBecome rhymes and progressive learning is a problem. Children are not critical for learning opportunities.

The Mozart effect is a great result achieved in 1990 said that listening to Mozart as an infant, a child smarter. Although this movement was short lived and there is little evidence that does not deny that children who learn music reach higher in other aspects of their academic life. Profitability in music, children learnExpression of their identity, to gain confidence and develop their sense of time and space. A team of researchers at the University of Munster in Germany, found that students studying music further developed abstract thinking skills that are closely linked with learning in the natural sciences and mathematics together.

I do not think there is an argument to this question ... Music is an integral part of raising a child and should be taken seriously. Listening to music is not enough! A child mustlearn to think musically and this is what it is to support the development of the child and their education.
